Nations Within - Kingdom Keys

Mark Lewis, the founding director of Nations Within, is passing the baton to a new director: John Hess. This transition will be effective June 1.

Field director for the Nations sphere, Brad Jonswold, says, “God used Mark Lewis to launch Nations Within four years ago and he established incredible foundations for us to build on into the future.”

“I am very grateful that God has led John to take up the leadership role for the Nations Within Mission for this next chapter,” Mark says. “God’s hand is evident upon John as he brings vision, faith, and courage to lead this effort. God’s favor is evident upon this work, giving us all great hope in the days ahead to see the advancement of the gospel into the nations through spiritual generational laborers.”

John and his wife, Liz, have been on staff since 1996, serving 10 years with Collegiate at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana‎, and San Diego State. Throughout those years on the campus, they became increasingly aware of the nations represented right at their doorstep. The Lord furthered this passion with a move to the Middle East where they re-opened a strategic country ministry and served there for eight years.

Then, in 2013, they felt the Lord leading them to back to the United States where they helped train staff and laborers serving in communities in America from other world religions while based in Colorado Springs. John has served on the Nations Within leadership team since the Mission was established.

Brad continues, “I couldn’t be more excited about working with John. John leads out of his apostolic gifting and his passion for evangelism. I’m convinced that this is one of the most exciting times in the history of the Church to be involved in the Great Commission. God is giving us opportunities to reach unreached peoples here in the United States like never before. John’s boldness and courage are exactly what we need for this time.”
